Freshmen stay undefeated

The Lebanon freshman football remained undefeated with a 58-12 win at West Albany on Oct. 15.

Brandon Marquez ran for two touchdowns and threw for another to guide the Warriors. Luke Rappe, Derek Wuilliez, Tyler Shults, Chris Anderlik, Jacob McConnell and Destry Cline all added rushing touchdowns.

Next up is a game at Woodburn on Thursday.

The Warriors final home game is against Silverton on Oct. 29.

Lebanon JV wins thriller

Ben Duerr connected on a 25-yard field goal with 13 seconds left to give the Lebanon JV football team a thrilling 13-12 win over visiting West Albany on Oct. 15.

Aaron Joslin opened the scoring with a 19-yard touchdown reception from Duerr in the second quarter to put the Warriors ahead 6-0 at the half.

After a Bulldogs touchdown and field goal, Scott Scofield scored from three yards out later in the fourth to put Lebanon up 12-10.

The Bulldogs scored another field goal before Duerr's game-winner.

The field goal was set up by Garrett Urrutia, who returned a kickoff near the 50-yard line late in the game.

"Our guys never doubted their ability to win and they came out and proved the could respond like champions," coach Jeff Stolsig said.

Next up is a game at home against Woodburn on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

LHS freshman VB wins matches

The LHS freshman volleyball team beat CV and Corvallis last week.

The Warriors beat CV 25-16, 15-25, 15-12 on Oct. 13.

Jessica Hill, Samantha Lawrence and Karlee Martin were all 5-for-5 serving in the first set.

On Oct. 15, Lebanon beat Corvallis 25-22, 25-12.

Alexandra Walker and Catherine Zehner each had two kills to lead the Warriors in the first set.

Lebanon improved to 6-4. The Warriors next match is at home on Thursday against Woodburn
