All five Lebanon High School athletes who competed in the 5A state track and field championships May 22-23 in Eugene returned home with medals.
Brendon Richards, Marcus Greenly, Flint Yoder, Jake Flanigan and Sierra Engler all made it past the preliminaries and into the finals in their respective events.
Greenly had the highest placing for the Warriors, taking fourth in the long jump, reaching a distance of 22 feet, 4 inches.
His jump was 2 feet, 1 inch further than his qualifying distance at the district meet May 12-13 at Western Oregon University.
Greenly was the only member of this year's qualifiers from Lebanon who also competed at last year's state meet.
Richards took seventh place in the 300-meter hurdles and was eighth in the 110-meter hurdles.
He finished the 300 hurdles in 42.22 seconds and the 110 hurdles in 15.80.
Engler, Lebanon's lone female participant, took seventh place in the 300-meter hurdles.
She finished in a time of 47.49, only two-one hundreths of a second behind the sixth-place finisher.
Flanigan took ninth in the shot put with a toss of 45-5.75.
Yoder came in 11th in the triple jump with a total distance of 41-5.75.
As a team, the Lebanon men tied for 25th out of 35 teams.
Engler's finish in the 300-meter hurdles gave the women's team two points, good enough for 28th place.
