It's do or die time for the East Linn men's soccer team.
After winning one of two games last week, the season rests on the outcome of the two remaining games on the Eagles' schedule.
They needed to beat Gervais on Tuesday and Jefferson on Friday and they'll reach the playoffs.
If not, the season might just come to an end, coach Tyler Grove said.
Results of Tuesday's game were not available by press time.
The Eagles lost to visiting Delphian 2-1 to open the week on Oct. 20.
Andrew Pitts scored the Eagles' lone goal in the second half.
Delphian built a 2-0 halftime advantage and held off a late East Linn rally.
"We really didn't turn it on until the last 10 minutes," Grove said. "If we could have played the way we did the last 10 minutes we probably would have won."
East Linn's defense broke down on a couple of plays and it cost them, Grove said.
"We had a couple of defensive mistakes and they took advantage of them," he said.
It was a completely different story on Oct. 23, when East Linn routed visiting Blanchet 9-0.
Jake Bates, Ross Latimer and Austin Koos each scored two goals to guide the Eagles.
"We actually played like how we've been practicing," Grove said. "We were clicking on all cylinders."
The season comes down to the final two games.
Grove said he expects a competitive game against Delphian.
