The East Linn men's soccer team went 1-1 last week.

The Eagles opened the week with a 2-0 win at home against Colton on Oct. 13.

Chad Linville scored in the first half and Keith Clark added a goal in the second half.

"It was really wet, and that kind of evened out the playing field," coach Tyler Grove said.

Grove said the team came out a little flat, but he was happy with the outcome.

"We could have scored several more but we got out with the win and that's what's important," he said.

The Eagles fell 4-1 at Dayton on Oct. 16.

Austin Koos scored in the second half off an assist from Taylor Bates.

"Austin kind of used his speed to beat the defense and put it over the keeper's head," Grove said.

Lebanon played Dayton to a 1-1 tie in the second half.

"They're one of the best teams we've played so far this year," Grove said.

The Eagles played at home against Delphian on Tuesday. Results weren't available by press time.

Next up is a match at Blanchet on Friday.

League playoffs begin Nov. 3.
