Water levels low in some lakes
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has issued revised projections for September water levels and marina and boat ramp usability.
On the North Santiam River, Big Cliff Reservoir has been closed to recreation due to the repair of the dam's spillway gates.
Marinas and most of the boat ramps on Detroit Reservoir should be available through Labor Day, according to a release from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Portland District.
At least one boat ramp each at Cougar, Foster, Green Peter, Blue River, Fern Ridge, Fall Creek, Hills Creek, Dorena and Cottage Grove reservoirs will be usable well into the fall, with some available year round.

ODFW allows more fish
Starting Sept. 1, anglers may keep an additional coho salmon on the Willamette River and its tributaries above Willamette Falls.
The change was adopted by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.
The daily bag limit for coho salmon and steelhead in combination increases to three fish on the Willamette River above Willamette Falls, Molalla and Santiam rivers.
Anglers also will be allowed to keep an additional coho salmon on the Yamhill and Tualatin rivers, which remain closed to steelhead.
