Former Lebanon High School baseball standout Brent Trask has signed with the Oregon Institute of Technology for the upcoming 2009 baseball season, the college announced recently.
Trask, who currently plays for Linn-Benton Community College, was an all-league catcher at LHS and received the Gold Glove award for being the best defensive catcher in the conference his senior year.
Trask received honorable mention all-NWAACC honors at LBCC last year.
"Our staff is very pleased to sign such a quality person as Brent to our team next season" said head coach Matt Miles. "Brent is a great student and one of the top defensive catchers in the Northwest and will shut down any team's run game when he is behind the plate."
