OSU Linn County Extension is holding an open house from 1 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18 at the Extension office, Fourth and Lyon streets in Albany.
Learn how your Extension tax dollars impact Linn County families from growing future 4-H leaders to school gardens helping nursery people and seed farmers, from nutrition to animal science.
Extension provides education that helps farmers, nurserymen, foresters and others obtain larger yields from acres planted and helps homeowners to have more productive gardens and use less chemicals.
Extension teaches nutrition, food safety and food preservation as well as water conservation.
Extension continually experiments to keep Oregon on the cutting edge in fields such as field burning, larger yields from crops and better use of natural resources.
