The Samaritan Health Services online Medical Library Gateway has received accreditation from the Health on the Net Foundation.

The Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization which promotes and guides the dissemination of useful and reliable health information online.

The Medical Library Gateway at www.samlib.com was reviewed by the organization and found to be compliant with certification standards.

The Medical Library Gateway is always available, providing a portal to information in medical journals and online textbooks that have been reviewed for accuracy and credibility. All resources are organized by clinical discipline or health care topic.

"This distinction is important because it addresses the reliability and credibility of information," said Ken Willer, manager of Library Services for Samaritan Health Services.
