Four contests will challenge entrants in the "Oregon's Best" competitions during the Linn County Fair to bake, cook, or spit with the best of them!

Create a bread recipe with Bob's Red Mill flours, cereals, or grains, and earn $50 and two, five-pound bags of the flour. If making dough rise isn't your specialty, enter the FLAV-R-PAC "Down Home Favorites Recipe Contest," and conjure up a comfort food recipe. The third cooking contest is the "Nutritious Summer Cheese Recipe Challenge" where participants must create an original snack, salad, main dish, or dessert using cheeses produced in Oregon. The top three winners will earn a "Got Milk?" T-shirt and a coupon for an Oregon dairy product.

If you're not a cook, try your seed-spittin' skills in the "Hermiston Seed Spitting Contest." The first-place winner will take home a Hermiston Watermelon Lover's championship baseball cap.

All first-place winners will be listed on Oregonfresh.net along with their winning recipe or seed-spitting distance.
