To the editor:

I wish to thank all those in this area who supported the Shriners Children's Hospital by purchasing raffle tickets for the drawing at the Mary's Peak Trek this year. Mary's Peak Trek is a joint effort of Linn, Benton, Marion, and Lincoln County Shrine Clubs.

The winners this year of the drawing were: $1,000 to Bruce Buckley of Waldport; $500 to Rick Davenport of Lebanon; and $300 to Waldo Wakefield of Philomath. The White's metal detector went to Helen Morris of Sheridan, and the two bikes went to Fallon Hanson and Baylee Smith.

So often folks participate in the projects such as ours, but never get the results of the drawing. We appreciate your continued help as the net proceeds to these drawings go to fund the free care given to qualifying children in our hospitals.
