To the editor:
I used to live in Lebanon and now live in Texas. You cannot imagine how appalled I was this morning when the news told about someone in Albany, evicting people because they were flying the American flag. Hello?? We are Americans. This is America. This is our flag.
I am wondering where the other Americans are while this is going on? Why aren't you standing up for your right to fly the flag of your own country? If someone is offended, tough! Let them go where they are not offended.
No one is stopping them. And by the way, only in America can you travel that freely.
Why aren't you and others doing what you can to stop this treachery? We are losing our rights every single day. Don't you believe it? Read the Amnesty Bill. Read the Hate Crime Bill. Read the government takeover of heath care (this is not reform, it's a takeover).
You'd better be watching carefully, not only at what's going on in Washington, D.C., but at what's going on in places like Albany.
Our boys have fought for these freedoms for over 200 years. They are still dying today to keep our freedoms. Are we going to let them de in vain, while we do nothing at all on the home front? Come on. Get out of that easy chair and find out what's happening in your country.
And to those who might be "offended" by my flag and my country: love it or leave it.
