To the editor:

I have been a student in Lebanon's Citizens Police Academy and I wanted to express how impressed I am by the quiet professionalism of police force.

All of the officers whom did presentations were fantastic and I thought of the highest moral caliber. Professionalism and service are the outstanding characteristics of all of the officers I have met.

Moreover when I went on a ride along I witnessed this first hand. The officer I went out with had several calls, and at each encounter whether a traffic stop or a dispute call the care and concern for the affected citizen was outstanding.

I have a different kind of respect for our police force and I am a better citizen for my time here. I would encourage anyone to go through this academy.

You learn a lot of things that police do and as I learned the Lebanon police force is truly a community-orientated force where professionalism and caring are at the highest standard.
