To the editor:
The Lebanon Community Swim Club would like to thank several generous local merchants for their support of our recent swim-a-thon fundraising event.
After two hours of lap swimming, our club of 40 swimmers ranging in age from 7-18 were treated to some much need nourishment from the following local businesses. We wish to thank Jake from Lebanon Shop 'N Kart, Tony from Pizza Hut, Kara from Subway, Dale and Linda from Big Town Hero, Sandy from Blue Ribbon Bakery and, finally, Nicole from Figaro's Pizza. These merchants were very generous and friendly in their support of us and we encourage their patronage.
Also, we encourage the public to support the local Lebanon Community Swim Club in our effort to provide a service to the youth of this community. In a time when obesity is on the increase with our youth, these children are disciplined committed athletes who are busy using their time and energy in positive and constructive ways. The team depends upon fundraising events for its financial base so your donations are greatly appreciated as well as tax deductible and can be made by calling the Lebanon Community Swim Pool at 451-8551.
Thanks again to the friendly, generous and supportive community of Lebanon.
