Vote For Me!
Ladies and gentlemen, if I had the privilege of becoming the Mayor of Lebanon I would be honored to be working for such a fine city. As the election approaches, I would like to tell you about my plans for Lebanon.
Being the official representative of the town of Lebanon, I would work hard for the needs of the people of Lebanon as a whole. The first point on my agenda would be to improve the roads, especially Main Street, because it is also a highway and receives a large amount of traffic and is therefore very full of potholes. Second, I would work towards bringing more jobs to Lebanon, which would improve the economy and make a better standard of living in the community. This will be made possible in the form of food industries such as Applebees and Baja Fresh and by trying to bring a major manufacturing plant such as a Pepsi bottling plant to Lebanon by offering them land tax cuts and other incentives. Third, I would work towards the eradication of drug usage and distribution in this city. This will not be easy but with the voters' support and the firm resolve of our law enforcement officers I am sure we can achieve this goal. I would make sure that our officers had the best equipment and technology there is to offer.
Another goal of mine would be to improve the educational system in our schools by bringing in the highest certified individuals to teach our children the basic fundamentals of life. I would attract these individuals by offering them higher pay and better benefits then other schools in our area. More books and better computers are also necessary for a vibrant education. I would sell our school as a wholesome and beneficial place to work where our children will have an enriching experience and go on to have great success in life.
Diligently, I would work to bring more after school activities for children so that they stay out of trouble. A project that I think would be appreciated would be an outdoor swimming park and recreational center. This would keep the children off the streets in the summer and keep drug usage down because they would be so busy having fun that they would not have time to do drugs. Another proposal would be to make a free all-purpose gym where children would be able to have a fantastic time.
With great ardor, I would work to improve the Strawberry Festival by bringing in additional entertainment, and possibly expanding the rides and games by hiring a different carnival company. More advertising on radio and television would increase attendance therefore increasing the revenue of all involved. Adding more booths, better food and additional gaming venues would also increase revenue. With this increased revenue we would be able to make many of the other improvements to our city a reality.
A larger movie theater would also make a nice addition to the community, giving teenagers a place to hangout and stay away from drugs. A few of my other suggestions would be Go-Karts, mini golf, and skate park. With you, the voters, help I am sure that we can make many of these plans a reality. I am sure that all involved realize that if you have a low expectation that is exactly what you will get.
I hope that what I have said has had an impact on the way you view our city and given you a good perspective of what I plan to do as mayor. I will work for the people as a whole and would try my best to meet everyone's concerns. If you feel that my vision to improve the lives of everyone in our city would be best for you then please vote for me in the upcoming election.
