Monday, July 6
8:10 a.m. An Oregonian box thought to have been stolen from Appletree Restaurant was found in the canal near 2700 River Rd. It had been wrapped in a blue tarp.
10:16 a.m. A non-injury accident occurred at S. 2nd and Kees sts.
1:04 p.m. A male whose bike was stolen earlier today saw one that looks like it in the 2600 block of S. Santiam Hwy.
1:44 p.m. Medications were taken from a home in the 200 block of Pine St. Loss; $60.
1:51 p.m. A 15-year-old male was detained by store management in the 800 block of Park St. for shoplifting a $1.09 can of Mt. Dew. Management decided not to press charges.
2:21 p.m. Four males trying to sell magazines in the 1900 block of W. Vine St. were seen looking through a resident's car before leaving in an unknown direction.
4:14 p.m. A 52-year-old man was arrested for strangulation, fourth-degree assault, interfering with making a police report and on a warrant for failure to comply in a DUII case.
4:39 p.m. A resident in the 2700 block of S. 11th St. reported that a man came to her door saying he was associated with a security company and asking questions such as: Is she part of a community watch? Does she have an alarm system? Is she willing for a security screening of her home?
5:18 p.m. A resident in the 400 block of Hiatt St. reported her vehicle was keyed on the afternoon of July 2. Loss: $500.
6:22 p.m. One 18-year-old man was cited for possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school behind Cascades School.
Tuesday, July 7
12:12 a.m. A 16-year-old male was charged with curfew violation. A 16-year-old male was charged with curfew violation and minor in possession (alcohol) by consumption. A 21-year-old man was charged with DUII.
1:38 a.m. Two female juveniles cleaned up a vehicle after they were seen pouring catsup on a car in the 0-99 block of Grace St. A resident followed the females and called police.
9:22 a.m. A building and parking lot in the 100 block of N. Williams St. were vandalized during the night. Damage: $30.
10:44 a.m. An older male wearing tan coveralls and tan jacket was reported taking steer manure and potting soil from BiMart. Loss: $17.70.
6:14 p.m. A 26-year-old man was taken into custody on a Parole and Probation detainer.
7:52 p.m. Juveniles seen playing on equipment at the medical campus construction site across from the hospital were counseled. They agreed not to return to the property. Their parents were notified and counseled.
10:20 p.m. Two females, ages 17, and 19, were charged with minor in possession (alcohol) by consumption. The 19-year-old also was charged with open container.
Wednesday, July 8
5:53 a.m. A 16-year-old male and a 21-year-old man were trespassed from Safeway for a previous alleged shoplifting incident.
10:36 a.m. A woman reported she had received a call from someone who said he was her grandson, requesting money to be sent to him in Canada. A bank sent her to police.
5:02 p.m. Library staff reported two men with metal detectors digging holes on the property. They had dug three softball-sized holes when police advised them to move on.
8:32 p.m. A 52-year-old man was cited for having a dog at large in the 1300 block of E. Grant St.
11:49 p.m. A 47-year-old man was warned about going through trash cans in the 700 block of Binshadler St.
Thursday, July 9
10:26 a.m. A vehicle parked in the 0-99 block of E. Maple St. was hit by an unknown vehicle. Damage: $300.
2:48 p.m. An older man was reported to have purchased beer at U.S. Mini-Mart and gave it to juveniles.
Friday, July 10
12:08 a.m. A Trek 800 mountain bike was taken from near S. Main and W. Sherman sts.
1:10 a.m. A 40-year-old man was charged with DUII near Denny School Rd. and Hwy. 34.
3:42 p.m. A 39-year-old woman was charged with DUII near W. Airport Rd. and 12th St.
4:22 p.m. A wallet containing cash and ID was taken from the DMV office.
5:28 p.m. The hood of a vehicle in the 0-99 block of Pheasant Run was scratched in the past week and barrier posts were pulled out of the ground last night.
10:36 p.m. Four females, ages 17, 17, 16 and 18, were cited for minor in possession (alcohol) following a report of a large party in the 680 block of W. Isabella St.
Saturday, July 11
1:13 a.m. A 45-year-old man was arrested for DUII and hit-and-run in the area of Milton, Franklin and Hiatt sts. He allegedly hit several vehicles and a Dumpster.
6:53 a.m. Four all terrain tires and a set of snow chains in a bag were taken from the 400 block of W. Maple St. Loss: $680.
8:22 a.m. A car parked in the 2700 block of S. 10th St. was egged on the past three weekends. Damage: $1,500.
8:48 a.m. A Tony Hawk bicycle was taken from the 0-99 block of W. Olive St. Loss: $130.
10 a.m. A resident in the 3300 block of Foxglove St. was cited for a dog at large.
11:24 a.m. Medication was taken from the 100 block of S. 8th St. Loss: $180.
2:20 p.m. A Gary Fisher Wahoo bicycle was taken from the 500 block of "B" St.
10:52 p.m. Two drivers, a 23-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man, who were involved in an accident at S. Santiam Hwy. and Market St. were cited for making an unlawful left turn.
10:54 p.m. A 48-year-old man was arrested for fourth-degree assault following a domestic dispute.
Sunday, July 12
12:35 a.m. A 37-year-old man was arrested for fourth-degree assault following a domestic dispute.
3:24 a.m. A vehicle was broken into near S. Williams and Wheeler sts. Damage: $250.
5:17 p.m. A Specialized mountain bike was taken from the 600 block of E. Isabella St. last week. Loss: $450.
