Monday, Oct. 26

1:38 a.m. A resident in the 700 block of W. Grant St. heard someone try to open his door and saw a male trying his neighbor's door. The male ran westbound hunched after he saw the resident watching him.

5:38 a.m. A vehicle in the 300 block of "C" St. was broken into and a stereo taken. Loss: $150.

5:48 a.m. A pickup in the 300 block of S. Grove St. was broken into during the night, items were taken and a jacket and backpack were left behind. The jacket and backpack were identified as having been stolen in the 300 block of S. Grove St. on Oct. 25.

6:37 a.m. A stereo was found hanging on the fence at Chevron north. It is not the stereo taken earlier in the morning.

8:36 a.m. A door weight was thrown through a window at the Lebanon Coffee House. Loss: $2,100.

10:25 a.m. A minor motor vehicle accident occurred in the Walmart parking lot.

11:16 a.m. A 16-year-old male was charged with fourth degree assault in connection with a fight in the Lebanon High School parking lot.

11:56 a.m. Two 15-year-old males were charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a fight in an LHS classroom. They were referred to the Linn County Juvenile Dept. and released to their parents.

12:54 p.m. Yard lighting was damaged in the 900 block of Tasha Way. Damage: $300.

1:42 p.m. A 34-year-old woman was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in a larceny case.

2:49 p.m. A representative of Riverview School asked if a driver can be stopped from driving to the school because of concerns about student safety.

2:55 p.m. A resident of the 700 block of Glen Oak Dr. reported he was sent fraudulent money orders. Loss: $5,334.

8:26 p.m. A man said his wallet was lost or stolen at Peacock East on Sunday morning. Loss:$75.

Tuesday, Oct. 27

5:58 a.m. The clerk in a store in the 2400 block of S. Santiam Hwy. received a counterfeit $10 bill.

8:34 a.m. A vehicle in the 700 block of Ralston Dr. was broken into overnight and a wallet with cash, credit cards and ID was stolen. Damage: $350 for window.

11:34 a.m. Two juveniles fought at the Lebanon High School commons. Their parents were contacted and decided not to file charges. The school will mete out discipline.

1:10 p.m. A 42-year-old man was arrested for providing false information and on multiple warrants for failure to appear in disorderly conduct cases.

2:59 p.m. A Ford Ranger in the 700 block of Randall Dr. was broken into and CDs were taken. Damage: $200.

3:45 p.m. A green and black BMX Mongoose bicycle was taken from LHS. Loss: $40.

5:23 p.m. A house was broken into in the 400 block of Tangent St. A front window was broken and an air conditioner partially removed. Damage: $200.

8:55 p.m. Three male juveniles, ages 14, 15 and 16, were each charged with possession of less than one ounce of marijuana in the 900 block of S. 10th St.

9:43 p.m. An 18-year-old male was arrested on a warrant for fourth-degree assault and harassment.

Wednesday, Oct. 28

4:02 a.m. A 35-year-old woman was arrested on a warrant for failure to comply in a third-degree theft case.

4:20 a.m. A 23-year-old woman was charged at S. 6th and Kees sts. with possession of less than one ounce of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school.

8:51 a.m. A Lebanon man's wallet was stolen and the owner's ID used to access adult entertainment websites.

9:56 a.m. A 50-year-old man was arrested in the 300 block of S. 6th St. for contempt of court.

11:40 a.m. Students located a marijuana pipe in the LHS boys bathroom near the commons area and turned it in to school officials. Police destroyed the pipe.

12:32 p.m. A vehicle was rear-ended at S. Main St. and W. Airport Rd. by a mid-80s Ford pickup. The pickup left the scene.

1:37 p.m. A 49-year-old man was arrested in the 1300 block of E. Grant St. on a warrant for failure to comply in a criminal trespass case.

4:24 p.m. A 26-year-old man was arrested on a statewide felony warrant for failure to appear in an assault case.

Thursday, Oct. 29

6:02 a.m. A passerby reported a window smashed out at a business in the 1100 block of S. Main St. The business was not entered. Damage: $250.

8:05 a.m. Two 15-year-old males were referred to the Linn County Juvenile Dept. for minor in possession (tobacco) at S. 6th and "F" sts. and sent back to school.

8:57 a.m. A Rick Franklin Corp. dump truck was reported spilling rock all over the road coming in on Tangent St. Oregon State Police were notified of possible rock on the road as far west as I-5.

12:18 p.m. A 34-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman were charged with possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

1:29 p.m. A woman was walking her dog in the 100 block of E. Carolina St. when it was attacked by another dog, causing injuries. The owner of the aggressive dog agreed to pay for all of the vet bills.

4:49 p.m. A 20-year-old man was charged with fourth-degree felony assault (domestic).

Friday, Oct. 30

7:43 a.m. A Verizon Motorola picture phone was taken from the 500 block of W. Maple St. Loss: $120.

11:47 a.m. A 27-year-old man was arrested in the 700 block of S. 10th St. on a warrant for failure to comply in a traffic case.

12:39 p.m. A 49-year-old man was charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and carrying a concealed weapon. He also was cited to appear on multiple warrants in criminal and traffic cases.

1:24 p.m. A two-vehicle injury accident blocked the roadway at S. Main and W. Sherman sts.

2:23 p.m. The owner of a Dodge Dakota reported a hit-and-run accident in The Plaza parking lot on Wednesday. Damage: $1,500.

5:19 p.m. A resident in the 200 block of "F" St. reported that four snow tires were taken from an outbuilding sometime since Monday. Loss: $300.

6:06 p.m. Four men, ages 19 to 26, were counseled on selling perfume without a permit after they were reported spraying people with it in The Plaza parking lot.

6:43 p.m. A 15-year-old female was referred to the Linn County Juvenile Dept. for harassment and released to her mother.

9:11 p.m. A 16-year-old male was charged with disorderly conduct and minor in possession (alcohol) by consumption in connection with a fight in front of Lebanon High School.

Saturday, Oct. 31

1:21 a.m. A 20-year-old man was charged with minor in possession (alcohol) and disorderly conduct in the 100 block of E. Elmore St. following a report of a disturbance.

10:08 a.m. A 34-year-old man was warned about trespassing, hunting in the city and discharging a firearm in the city. He was hunting wild turkeys in the 700 block of E. Sherman St. He had a valid hunting license and tags.

12:48 p.m. A 20-year-old man was arrested for second-degree assault and fourth-degree felony assault in the 100 block of E. Elmore St. and on multiple warrants in DUII and failure to perform duties cases.

10:22 p.m. A hit-and-run accident occurred in the 2600 block of S. Main Rd. Damage: $600.

11:21 p.m. The owner of a vehicle in the 1600 block of S. 2nd St. reported people in a red SUV threw eggs at his vehicle, hitting it.

Sunday, Nov. 1

12:26 a.m. Two Halloween signs were taken from the 800 block of W. Isabella St.

12:38 a.m. A resident in the 100 block of S. 2nd St. reported people in a Red Honda Accord threw eggs at him and his friends, hitting them.

1 a.m. A 19-year-old female, 17-year-old male and 16-year-old male were located at W. "F" and S. 7th sts. in a vehicle with an 18-egg carton that had one egg left in it. They admitted throwing eggs, mostly aiming at street signs. Chaperoned by one of their mothers, they went through the target area and cleaned up damage.

1:52 a.m. Three juveniles out at S. 3rd and W. Oak sts. were stopped for violation of curfew. Two were turned over to their mother, who said she allowed the teens to walk to the store because she thought there wasn't a curfew on Halloween. The third teen was given a courtesy ride home.

4:33 a.m. A resident in the 300 block of S. Grove St. reported he found his truck doors wide open. He previously reported his keys were taken.

1:07 p.m. A camera was taken from the 600 block of S. 12th St.

1:30 p.m. A vehicle in the 300 block of E. Sherman St. was broken into and electronics, baby diapers and clothes, and a purse was taken. Loss: $470.

Monday, Oct. 26

10:31 a.m. A Linn County resident reported receiving a bill from PayPal for purchases amounting to $198 that he didn't make.

Wednesday, Oct. 28

10:07 p.m. A deputy responded to a call about cows with bells making noise in the 36900 block of Edgemont Dr. and advised the caller no laws were being broken, that it is a civil matter.

Thursday, Oct. 29

10:57 p.m. Two 16-year-old males were charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and referred to the Linn County Juvenile Dept. after they took a car belonging to one boy's family and wrecked it.

Saturday, Oct. 31

8:12 a.m. A 44-year-old woman reported that she was assaulted in the 400 block of Minnesota St. and $100 disappeared from her pocket during the altercation.

2 p.m. While investigating the earlier incident, a deputy found a small plastic bag containing white crystal residue at the location.

Monday, Nov. 1

4:05 p.m. A resident reported that when she returned home last night, she found a small window in the back door was broken out. Nothing was taken. The door was locked.

Tuesday, Oct. 27

5:48 p.m. One person was transported to the Lebanon hospital following an accident on Highway 20 at Sodaville Rd. The patient was a 32-year-old woman who pulled out of Sodaville Rd. and did not yield to a vehicle. No one was cited.

The Lebanon Fire District responded to a total of 78 calls between Oct. 26 and Nov. 1.

Monday, Oct. 26

10:32 a.m. A tree fell over and hit lines in the 300 block of S. 11th St. Firefighters were able to safely cut up enough branches to open the roadway. Comcast was notified.

Friday, Oct. 30

9:04 a.m. Firefighters were dispatched to the 39000 block of McDowell Creek Dr. for flames coming out of the bathroom exhaust fan in a single family home. The occupant used a fire extinguisher to put out the fire before firefighters arrived. They found no fire elsewhere in the house and advised the occupant to have a new fan installed.
