Joyce Anna Martin, 78, of Sweet Home, died, Nov. 1 2008, at Bridge Creek Memory Care Facility in Lebanon.

Private family services will be held.

She was born April 27, 1930, in Long Beach, Calif., the daughter of Dennis and Beulah (Boyd) Gray. She lived in Redondo Beach, Calif., where she graduated from high school.

She married Ralph Martin on Sept. 11, 1948, in Long Beach, Calif. The couple recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They lived in California before retiring to Sweet Home in 1995.

She is survived by her husband Ralph; sons John Martin and Richard "Dick" Martin; daughter Lari Ashley; brothers Carl, Arthur, and Howard Gray; sister Drew "Tissie" Holloran; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
