Kristin D. Blomquist, 45, of Salem, died June 12, 2009, at her home.
At her request, no formal services will be held.
She was born in Lebanon on Sept. 26, 1963, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Hansen) Adams. She attended Lebanon schools, graduating from Lebanon Union High School in 1981.
After high school, she attended Linfield College, where she received a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She lived in the Salem area for the last seven years and worked for Kaiser Permanente.
Earlier this year, she completed her studies and received her master's degree in nursing.
She met Karl Blomquist Jr., while working in Yellowstone Park. The couple married on Feb. 7, 1986, in Las Vegas, Nev., and were sealed in the LDS Temple in St. George Utah on Feb. 7, 1987.
She has been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since Dec. 25, 1979.
She is survived by her husband Karl of Salem; son and daughter-in-law Kameron and Alyssa Blomquist of Oahu, Hawaii; daughter and son-in-law Karista and Sterling Peabody of Portland; sisters Michelle Brandt of Salem and Cynthia Theophilus of Lebanon.
The family requests that any memorial contributions be sent to the American Cancer Society.
Huston-Jost Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
