Cody Wade Bruce, 40, of Lebanon, died Aug. 6, 2009, in Salem.

A graveside service was held at City View Cemetery on Aug 14. A potluck reception followed.

He was born in Oregon City on Oct. 23, 1968, to Donna Lee and Harry Bruce. He was a member of the Osage Nation.

He graduated from North Salem High, and attended ITT Tech and Linn-Benton Community College, where he studied art and graphic design.

He worked as a short-order cook for the family restaurant and later became a press operator.

He is survived by mother Donna Lee of Lebanon; grandmother Rose Gephardt of Salem; sister Kim Cardona of Salem; brother Darwin McCoy of Salem; and brother Carson Brown of Hillsboro.

His stepfather Lawrence Lee, grandfather Fred Gephardt, and sister Carla Brown died before he did.
