Helen A. (Cooley) Keller, 90, of Eugene, died Jan. 26, 2008, at her home.

A celebration of life in her honor will be held on Feb. 23, 2008, at Solvang Retirement Community, 1202 Jacobs Dr. in Eugene. A private interment will be held in Klamath Memorial Park in Klamath Falls.

She was born June 4, 1917, in Algoma, the daughter of Lewie J. and Emma (Callahan) Cooley. As a child she lived in Klamath Falls.

She married Ray V. Keller on Oct. 12, 1934.

Mrs. Keller served as president of the local PTA and was a 4-H teacher and charter member of the Northside Garden Club in Klamath Falls. She was a member of the Hottel-Keller Memorial, Inc. and volunteered her time at Klamath Falls and Lebanon hospitals. She was an election worker in Klamath County.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Vernon and Missy Keller of Sherwood and Donald and Joann Keller of California; daughter and son-in-law Roxie and Dallas Merchant of Creswell; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Northside Garden Club, 227 Ewauna St., Klamath Falls, OR 97601 or Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital, PO Box 739, Lebanon, OR 97355.

Huston-Jost Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
