Joseph Blair, 82, of Lebanon, died Oct. 29, 2009, at Timberview Care Center in Albany.

No services are planned.

He was born Sept.2, 1927, in Russell, Ky. He was raised in Ironton, Ohio.

Mr. Blair entered the Air Force as a young man and served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam before retiring after 25 years of service.

He settled in California and owned and operated the Orchid Room and Silver Dollar Clubs in the San Francisco Bay area until his retirement in 1989.

Mr. Blair married Connie Sears on Feb. 10, 1990. They lived in South Point, Ohio, until moving to Lebanon in June 2009.

He was a member of the American Legion in Huntington, W.V., VFW 8850 in Ironton, Ohio, Moose Lodge 701 in Ironton, Am Vets in Greenup, Ky., and Masonic Lodge in South Point, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife Connie of Lebanon; daughter and son-in-law Belinda Blair and Greg Neal of Foster City, Calif., stepdaughter and her husband Nicki and TJ Comber of Lebanon; grandchildren Morgan and Michael VanAtta and Amber McGowan, both of Lebanon; niece Shirley Hastilow of Marysville, Ohio; and many other nieces, nephews and special friends.

Huston-Jost Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
