Clairrean "Dusty" Boyd, 69, of Lebanon, died Aug. 15, 2008, at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.

A memorial service was held Aug. 19 at Huston-Jost Funeral Home in Lebanon.

She was born Dec. 5, 1938, in Burnsville, N.C., to Hick and Vera (Hensley) Fox.

She grew up in North Carolina and moved to Oregon in 1962, living in Eugene and later in Junction City. She married Samuel Boyd in Reno, Nev., in 1970. They lived in Harrisburg before moving to Lebanon on Jan. 1, 1977.

Mrs. Boyd attended Mountain View Church in Aumsville.

She is survived by her husband Samuel Boyd of Lebanon; sons Darrell Saxton of Harrisburg, S. Wayne Boyd of Albany, Dale Silvers of Corvallis, Steve Boyd of Lebanon and Tim Boyd of New Jersey; daughter Camilla "Candy" Boyd of Bend; twin brother Clarence Fox of Green Mountain, N.C.; sisters Katherine Higgins of Burnsville, N.C.; Jean Shankles of Albany and Kay Silvers of Marion, N.C.; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Infant daughter Veronica Rose Fox, sister Dorothy Arrowood and her parents died before she did.
