Phillip R. Reynolds, 86, of Lebanon, died Oct. 21, 2009, at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Oct. 29 at the Lebanon Free Methodist Church. Inurnment will follow at the Lebanon I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
He was born June 10, 1923, in Harding, Wash., the son of Carlos and Flora (Harvey) Reynolds.
He moved to Lebanon as a child. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked in sawmills and plywood mills, and retired from Champion Plywood in Lebanon when the mill closed in the early 1980s.
Mr. Reynolds was a member of the Lebanon Free Methodist Church and American Legion Post No. 51.
He married Norma Gedney in Payette, Idaho, on July 4, 1942.
He is survived by his wife Norma of Lebanon; daughters Nellie Simkowiak of Lebanon and Cheryl Ryan of Ely, Nev.; sister Luella Koenig of Central City, Neb.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
His son Phil Reynolds, four brothers and three sisters died before he did.
The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the Linn-Benton Food Share, in care of Huston-Jost Funeral Home, 86 W. Grant St., Lebanon OR 97355.
