Olive Lillian Yahnke, 93, of Lebanon, passed away Friday, Dec. 19, 2008.
A memorial service was held Dec. 29 at Huston-Jost Funeral Home in Lebanon.
She was born Sept. 19, 1915, in Plaza, N.D., to Nickalai and Beatta (Messelt) Hauger.
She married Carl Yahnke on March 30, 1935 in Towner, N.D. They moved to Roseglen, N.D., in the 1940s where they farmed. She also was the assistant postmaster in Roseglen for several years.
They moved to Oregon in 1980, settling on a small farm near Lebanon.
She was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Lebanon.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Ellie and Don Knudtson of Lebanon; son Jerry Yahnke of Ryder, N.D.; and 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her husband Carl Yahnke died on Jan. 28, 2004. Her son Gene Yahnke, three brothers and three sisters also died before she did.
