Douglas Walter Beebe, 90, of Sweet Home, died March 15, 2008.
Private internment will take place at Gilliland Cemetery in Sweet Home. A worship service will by conducted by Rev. April Hall Cutting at Sweet Home United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. on March 22, 2008.
He was born in Scottsbluff, Neb., to Walter and Amy (Capper) Beebe.
Mr. Beebe attended schools in Western Nebraska, where he met Edna Wallace, his wife of 65 years. His twin brother Donald was married to Mrs. Beebe's sister, Gretchen. The brothers, their wives and parents moved to Southern California in the 1930s and to Oregon in the mid-1940s.
The father and sons purchased a farm between Sweet Home and Lebanon on Mountain Home Road in 1946. They moved to Sweet Home 50 years later.
Mr. Beebe worked in the logging industry and at Santiam Lumber Company/ Willamette Industries.
In the late 1950s and 1960s he and his wife taught after-school dance lessons for teens at the Elks Club in Sweet Home.
He was a member of the Sweet Home B.P.O.E., and Sweet Home United Methodist Church.
Mr. Beebe is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Teryl and George Putnam of Netarts; daughter Tonia Beebe of McMinnville; grandchildren Timothy and his wife Lisa Putnam of La Quinta, Calif., Kelly Campbell-Rickard and her husband Adam of Sherwood, Aaron and his wife Sofia Putnam of Hayward, Calif., and Danelle Putnam of Santiago, Dominican Republic; and seven great-grandchildren.
His wife, two brothers, and son-in-law Dennis Hoisington died before he did.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
