Donald Dee Keef, 68, died Oct. 31, 2009, at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on November 7 at Gilliland Cemetery in Sweet Home.

He was born in Newcastle, Wyo., to Charles Dee and Mina Lee (Kimsey) Keef.

He married Becky Strain on Aug. 26, 1961.

About a year later, he began 42 years working for Southern Pacific Railroad, later the Union Pacific Railroad.

They lived most of their lives in Citrus Heights, Calif.

He retired from the railroad in 2005 and they moved to Sweet Home.

He is survived by his wife Rebecca Sue; daughter Karrie (Keef) Walley of Redding, Calif.; sister Karen Key Ellis of Houston; threegrandchildren and twin great-grandchildren.

His son Ronald Dee Keef died in 1994. His mother and father also died before he did.
