William &#8220Bill" Duane Partch, 82, of Sweet Home, died March 31, 2007.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. today, April 4, at Gilliland Cemetery at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.

He was born April 23, 1924, the son of Elmer and Cecile Partch in Castle Rock, Wash.

He attended Sweet Home schools.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.

After the war, he worked as a logger.

On Jan. 8, 1997, he married Helen Deckard.

Survivors are his stepdaughter Lori Palmer; grandchildren, Jody William, Oma Winter, Sherry Thein and Melissa Wassel; great-great-grandchildren Autumn, Christopher, Sherry, Josh, Jordan, Patrick and Sherriah; Aunt Debbi; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

His wife Helen and sister Denny died before he did.
