Lillian A. Coakley, 88, of Lebanon, died July 31, 2009, at Brookstone Care Facility in Salem.
A memorial service was held Monday at Lebanon First United Methodist Church. She was interred in a private service at the Lebanon I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 6, 1920, in Monowi, Neb., the daughter of Anton and Antonette (Synovec) Wecker. She attended schools in Nebraska.
She married Leonard Coakley in Butte, Neb., in 1938. In 1952, they moved to Lebanon.
She was a member of the Lebanon First United Methodist Church. She volunteered for the Salvation Army and as a Linn County election worker for many years.
She is survived by her daughter Twila Coakley of Waldport; sons Larry and Darrell of Lebanon and Harold Coakley of Lakeport, Calif.; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and lifelong friend and sister-in-law Mildred Coakley.
Her husband Leonard died May 15, 1996.
The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Lebanon Meals on Wheels in care of Huston-Jost Funeral Home, 86 W. Grant St., Lebanon OR 97355.
