The Lebanon Public Library will host a Middle School Book Club for sixth through eighth grades at the library during the months of February and March.

Each month the groups will read a different book and participate in a discussion and activities that relate to the book. The groups will be led by a different adult each month and meet in the library from 7 to 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday evenings.

The leader scheduled for February is Deanne Chambers, who will be highlighting the book "The Giver," written by Lois Lowry.

Christina Williams, a teacher at Seven Oak, is conducting the sessions in March. She will discuss the book "Bat 6," written by Virginia E. Wolff.

The program is funded by the Friends of the Library group.

Registration is limited to 20 students on a first-come, first-serve basis. Each participant will receive a copy of the book at the first meeting of the month. The library will maintain a waiting list for those sessions that fill up.

There is no cost and students do not need a library card to join.

For more information, call the library at 258-4926.
