Linn County 337, 8-40 will host Gwen Hughes, departmental chapeau, at 7 p.m. on Feb. 26 at the American Legion Hall, 480 S. Main St. in Lebanon. Hughes is from Salon 608 in Hood River and will give a speech on "Humming to find a cure for cystic fibrosis and other lung diseases in children." Members are asked to bring items for a silent auction. Also at the meeting, Chairman Trudie Pollock will give a report on children and youth.

Eight and Forty is a honorary subsidiary organization of the Santiam Unit 51 of the American Legion Auxiliary. The group's purpose is to assist in the prevention of tuberculocus, cystic fibrosis, lung and other respiratory

diseases in children.
