The Lebanon City Council annexed about 24 acres to the city following land use hearings at its Dec. 13 meeting.

Two tax lots on the west side of Stoltz Hill Road totaling 8.64 acres were annexed with a residential mixed density zoning. The land, near Wassom and Kees streets, will be used for a new subdivision.

The Lebanon Planning Commission approved a 32-lot subdivision on the site in September, following its recommendation that the council approve the annexation. Two existing homes will remain.

Wetlands at the west end of the property will be mitigated to a wetland bank.

Twelfth Street will be extended through the property.

About 15 acres of a rectangular parcel north of Reeves Parkway and east of Hansard Avenue were added to the city with no development proposal.

The land has been farmed, the east half in grass seed and the west portion with trees for chipping. Upon annexation, it would be zoned mixed use.

The third annexation was of a .79-acre parcel on one tax lot at the northwest corner of Kees and Seventh streets.

A single family home sits on the lot, along with a garage and a two-story structure that is not finished. Burkhart Creek, which flows northwest to southeast across the land, is within a 100-year floodplain.

It is zoned residential mixed density.
