One of the candidates for city council has withdrawn from the race.
James Beck had filed to run for city councilor in Ward 1 against Ray Weldon and Aaron Falotico. He formally withdrew on Aug. 19, just four days after the deadline for filing.
Weldon is Beck's father-in-law. The two are plaintiffs along with Mel and Shirlee Harrington in a lawsuit against the city over its requirement that family members not serve on the council together.
Beck has not returned calls from the Lebanon Express.
