Rep. Sherrie Sprenger will host a town hall in Scio at the Covered Bridge Coffee House from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 9.
Scio community members have asked Rep. Sprenger to facilitate a discussion about how to avoid further tragedies like the recent death of Nathan Gourley this summer. He was driving a hay-stacker on Richardson Gap Road when he was struck, near an intersection, by a truck.
Representatives from the Linn County Road Department, local FFA chapter, Oregon Truckers Association, Oregon Farm Bureau, Linn County Sheriff's Department and the Oregon Traffic Safety Commission have been invited to serve as a panel for the discussion.
