Most ballots have been delivered to Linn County voters and a relative few have been marked and returned to the county's Election Office.
Due to population increases and high interest in the Nov. 4 election, Linn County sent out a record high 64,565 ballots this year. More will go out to voters who registered late or are updating information.
Anyone who has not received a ballot and thinks they are registered may check with the elections office at 967-3831 or go online to www.co.linn.or.us/clerk.htm, click on "November 4 General Election Voter Information on the home page and click on "Are you registered to vote?," which is a link to the secretary of state's office. You will have to enter your name and address.
To change your name or address, make out a new registration card and take it in or mail it to the Linn County Clerk's office. The address is PO Box 100, Albany OR 97321. The office, located in Room 205 at the County Courthouse, 300 Fourth Ave. in Albany, is open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on election day.
Changes may be made up to 8 p.m. on election night. Changes within a week of the election should be made in person at the courthouse.
Ballots may be mailed or taken to the elections office or delivered to a drop box. Lebanon drop boxes are at the Lebanon Police Department, 40 E. Maple St., 24 hours a day; Lebanon Public Library, 626 2nd St., 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday; or the Sheriff's Substation, 2590 S. Main St., Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on election day. A list of all drop boxes in the county is available online at www.co.linn.or.us/elections/LinnDropSites.pdf.
No election results will be announced before the polls close.
