Smoke and a burning smell at Lebanon Christian School and Lebanon Chapel at 2900 S. Main Rd. about 10:45 a.m. Nov. 9 turned out to be a blower motor in a heat pump.

It took firefighters a little time to locate the problem, said Fire Chief Perry Palmer, but damage was limited to the equipment.

The smoke and odor were easily eliminated by opening windows in the building, he said.

Students were evacuated from the building for a short time.

Sixteen firefighters responded with six trucks.
