A man and woman were found by Linn County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue members on Jan. 4, after getting stuck in the snow at Snow Peak near Lacomb.

Jennifer Morris of Salem called the Linn County Dispatch Center at about 9 p.m. on Jan. 3, reporting her husband, Chris Morris, 34, had left for Snow Peak that morning and hadn't returned home yet. She had received a text message at about 10 a.m. from her husband saying he was stuck in the snow and out of gas. A friend checked the area they thought he was in, but was unable to locate him.

Search and Rescue responded to the Neil Creek area of Snow Peak and found Morris and Danielle Black, 23, of Scio, at 2:45 a.m. on Jan. 4. The pair was still in the vehicle and were in good health, according to police reports. They were transported to the Scio area.
