Ashdon Farms has voluntarily recalled 10-ounce Girl Scout Cashews (item GS-018) packed in pop-top cans with the code dates 7268A9 or 7268B9 because the firm received complaints regarding pieces of metal in the product.

The product was distributed through Girl Scouts of Santiam Council in Linn, Benton, Lincoln, Marion, Polk, and Yamhill counties.

Ashdon Farms is investigating the cause of the metal pieces.

Affected products may be identified by the code date 7268A9 or 7268B9 on the second line of the code printed on the bottom of the can. Only 10-ounce cashews with those code dates are affected by the recall.

Consumers with the affected product may call Ashdon Farms at 800-274-3666 for a replacement product.
