A blue substance found in a Lebanon Figaro's pizza last month has been revealed: Decongestant medicine.

The Lebanon Police Department sent the pills to the state police forensics lab last month and received the results last week.

A Lebanon man bought two pizzas from the store on the evening of Dec. 11 - one pizza was already baked, and the other was baked at his home. The blue pills were found in the pizza after it was baked at his home and some had already consumed part of the pie.

During the cooking process, the pills became degraded and lost much of their identification factors. Due to the shape and size of the pills, officials thought they may have been candy, such as an M&M or a Sweet Tart.

According to police, the investigation showed the decongestant medicine originated from a desk in the manager's office at the store.

The Albany Democrat-Herald reported that no criminal charges are pending, that the the employees who were working were all questioned and no one has been named a suspect. Additionally, the manager, Nicole Greve, reviewed surveillance cameras and no suspicious activity was revealed.
