Three of the four races have at least two candidates

Four more people - Elisabeth Alperin, Josh Wineteer, Chris Fisher and Todd Gestrin - have filed to run for Lebanon School Board.

Four positions are open. The deadline to file candidacy papers with the Linn County Clerk was 5 p.m. on March 19.

According to her filing papers, Alperin has served as a coordinator for Hamilton Creek School's Start Making A Reader Today program.

She has been a member of the Lebanon TAG Committee and a coach at the Boys & Girls Club of Lebanon.

Alperin was a research technician for five years.

She filed in Zone 2.

Alperin has a bachelor's degree in science and early childhood education from Bennington College, and a master's degree in biological chemistry from the University of California Los Angeles. She holds a doctorate in biological chemistry from UCLA.

She has served as a temporary replacement on the Lebanon Schools' budget committee.

Alperin was treasurer for the Hamilton Creek Parent Teacher Club for two years. Wineteer is running in Zone 3.

According to his filing paperwork, he works for First American Title. He previously worked as an information technology manager while contracted to Hewlett-Packard.

Wineteer also has worked cleanup for Willamette Industries.

He is a graduate of Lebanon Union High School and attended Linn-Benton Community College.

Wineteer was the representative for Zone 5, but has moved to Zone 3.

Fisher is the incumbent for Zone 3 and is running for re-election.

According to his filing paperwork, he is an insurance agent and financial consultant.

He graduated with a

bachelor's degree from Chaminade University of Honolulu and is a student of the University of Phoenix.

Gestrin is running for Zone 5.

According to his filing papers, he is the Key Center manager at Key Bank. He has worked as chief operations officer at Linn County Federal Credit Union and as premiere bank manager for First Interstate Bank/Wells Fargo.

Earlier, Gestrin worked as a driver for the Pony Express Delivery Service and in the sporting goods department in Cent-Wise Drug.

According to his filing paperwork, he is a graduate of Lebanon Union High School. He graduated from Linn-Benton Community College with an emphasis in business and banking. He has coursework in credit union management from Western CUNA Management School in Pomona, Calif..

Debi Shimmin, who is not up for election, represents Zone 4.
