The following is a list of public meetings scheduled in the coming weeks. All meetings not labeled “executive session" are open to the public.
€ The Linn County Board of Commissioners meets at 9:30 a.m. every Tuesday and Wednesday in the commissioners' meeting room on the second floor of the County Courthouse in Albany.
€ The Linn Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Directors meets at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month. All meetings are held at the LSWCD office, 33935 Hwy. 99E, Suite C, Tangent. For more information or to confirm meeting place and time, call 541-926-2483. Linn SWCD seeks to promote the wise use of natural resources through soil and water conservation.
€ The Lebanon schools Buildings and Boundaries Committee will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4 at the Legacy Room in the district office, 485 S. Fifth St., to look at future uses for Crowfoot School and the large Seven Oak school site as well as the possible need for new schools as the city continues to grow. Two groups have indicated an interest in Crowfoot School. The Lebanon Fire District is looking at the site for a new station and People Involved in Education, Inc. may want the building for expansion Sand Ridge Charter School.
€ The Lebanon Community Schools Board of Directors will meet at 7 p.m. on Jan. 8 at the school district office, 485. S. Fifth St.
€ The People Involved in Education Inc. (PIE) board will hold a work session at 6 p.m. on Jan. 9 at Sand Ridge Charter School, 30581 Sodaville-Mountain Home Road. It will be followed at 6:30 by a regular monthly meeting.
€ The Lebanon City Council will meet at 7 p.m. on Jan. 10 at the Santiam Travel Station, 750 S. Third St. The agenda includes the oath of office for newly-elected officials, a hearing on the transportation system plan, the construction process for the new library and police/court facilities, a proposed revised city fee schedule, and interim financing for Project Mustang Herd infrastructure improvements.
€ The Lebanon Aquatic District Board will meet at 7 p.m. on Jan. 16 at the Lebanon Community Pool meeting room, 1800 S. Fifth St.
