Lebanon man arrested in Sweet Home rape case

Tyler Price, 19, of Lebanon, was arrested on Oct. 21 by Sweet Home police for raping and sexually abusing a girl younger than 14.

Sarah McBee, 18, the resident of the home where the incident took place, also was charged. She was arrested on Oct. 20.

Price was charged with first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, first-degree sexual abuse and two counts of furnishing alcohol to a minor.

He was arraigned on Oct. 22, posted bail of $10,000 on the same date and released from the Linn County Jail.

McBee was charged with first-degree sexual abuse and one count of furnishing alcohol to a minor.

She is being held in the Linn County Jail on $50,000 security.

Sweet Home Det. Cyndi Pichardo said the incident occurred at a gathering on or about Aug. 20 at 2210 Kalmia St., where McBee lived at the time.

At the home at the time were Price, McBee, the victim and one other individual, who is not being identified by police. Neither the victim or the fourth person is related to McBee or Price, Pichardo said.

The case is still under investigation.
