Another Lebanon teen has been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting that occurred earlier this summer in Albany.

Eric William Kauth, 19, was arrested Aug. 5, following a Linn County grand jury indictment on charges of attempted murder, attempted assault and unlawful use of a weapon. He was lodged in the Linn County Jail where he remained as of Monday afternoon on $250,000 security.

On June 1, a home located at 1909 SW Queen St. in Albany was shot at by at least one person in a moving 1997 Nissan truck. Six people inside the home chased after the Nissan in two separate vehicles and more shots were fired from the pickup. The truck was stopped by Linn County Sheriff's deputies several miles from the drive-by location. During the chase, approximately 10 rounds were shot at the two vehicles chasing the truck. Both vehicles were struck several times each, although no one was injured.

According to the Linn County Sherrif's Office, one of the men in the pickup had previously been in a fight with people inside the house.

Three other Lebanon men have been charged in the shooting.

Ryan Mark Ally and Bradley John Zurfluh, both 18, have cases pending in Linn County Circuit Court. They are scheduled to appear in court later this month. Dylan Thomas Debutts, 18, pleaded no contest in July to two counts of attempted first-degree assault. He was sentenced to five years in prison.
