Two teens rescued near Waterloo

Two 13-year-old males were rescued from an island on the South Santiam River near Waterloo Park after getting their raft stuck on Aug. 14.

The emergency call came into the Lebanon Fire Department at about 9:13 p.m. Neither of the boys were wearing life jackets. Fire personnel, aided by the Linn County Sheriff's Office, delivered life jackets to the pair and transported their raft to shore. No injuries were reported.
