Lebanon physician William Barish has joined the board of the Willamette Valley Rehabilitation Center (WVRC). Barish has had a general family practice at the Park Street Clinic since 1990.

Barish said that he hopes his new position on the board will help develop a closer relationship between WVRC and the medical community. Barish replaces board member Paul Melott, owner of Melott Dental Arts, who resigned from the post to move away from the Lebanon area. Melott served on the board since 1993.

Three current WVRC board members were confirmed to new three-year terms. Dave Bertucci, real estate agent with Lebanon Real Estate, has served on the board since 1996. Steve Latimer, owner of Latimer Enterprises, has been a board member since 1994, and Rick Hayden with the Oregon Youth Authority has served for the past three years. Latimer was recognized for his service to WVRC during its recent building project, for which he served as project manager.

WVRC, located on Airway Rd. in Lebanon, is a private not-for-profit organization that provides vocational services to people with disabilities.
