Lebanon police are investigating an alleged sexual assault of a middle-school age female on Oct. 24.
According to Sgt. Det. Kevin Martinez, on Oct. 30, the 12-year-old girl reported to the Lebanon Police Department that the incident occurred in the area of Sixth Street and Walker Road about 6 a.m. while the victim was waiting for a school bus.
The suspect is described as a white male, in his early 40s, 5-foot 3-inches, bald, an earring in left ear, possibly with facial hair and possibly heavy-set, wearing light-colored pants and a dark jacket.
The girls' parents said she initially told them a man had approached her as she waited for the bus. The incident was reported to the LPD that day. Later, the girl disclosed the man had also assaulted her.
Anyone who remembers seeing a person matching that description or anything suspicious in the area of Sixth and Walker on the morning of Oct. 24 is asked to contact Det. Kim Hyde at 258-4328.
