Ballots for the Nov. 6 election will be mailed Oct. 19.

Up for vote are statewide measures 49 and 50. Measure 49 modifies Measure 37 by clarifying the right to build homes. Measure 50 dedicates funds to provide health care for children through increased tobacco tax.

In Lebanon, ballots may be dropped off at the Lebanon Police Department, 40 E. Maple St., 24-hours per day, or at Lebanon Public Library, 626 2nd St., from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Both sites are open until 8 p.m. on Election Day. Ballots may also be dropped 24 hours a day at the Linn County Courthouse in Albany, 5th Ave. drive-through.

The deadline to register to vote has passed, but voters may update their address any time before election night. If you need to change your address, or you didn't receive your ballot, call (541) 967-3831.
