Rachael Rebekah Janis and Nathaniel Alan Storms, both of Corvallis, were married July 5, 2008, at the Atonement Lutheran Church in Newport. Jim Norley performed the double-ring ceremony and the bride was given away by her father. A reception was held at the Best Western Agate Beach Inn.

The bride is the daughter of John Janis of Eugene and the late Toni Janis. She graduated in 2003 from South Eugene High School and in 2008 from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in health promotion and health behavior, with a minor in women's studies. She is a peer health advocate with OSU's Saferide.

The groom is the son of Donald and Kimberley Storms of Lebanon. He graduated from East Linn Christian Academy in 1999 and is a student at Oregon State University. He plans to graduate March 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in education in the workplace setting and a second degree in business administration with finance and management options. He works for The Hotel Group in Edmonds, Wash.

The matron-of-honor was Jenny Reale of Bartlett, Ill. Bridesmaids were Brooke Storms of Albany, Deb Janis of Santa Clarita, Calif., Ellen Janis of Brighton, Mass., Kayla Montes of Eugene, Jenny Janis of Naperville, Ill. and Melissa Northcutt of Salem.

The best man was Chad Storms of Albany. Groomsmen were Steve Reale of Bartlett, Ill., Abe Janis of Santa Clarita, Calif., Ely Janis of Brighton, Mass., Simeon Janis of Eugene, Dan Semrad of Oregon City and Tony Northcutt of Salem.

Rory Fix was the flower girl and the ring bearers were Max Janis and Van Northcutt.

The bride wore a Maggie Sottero A-line dress. The flowers were roses in hot pink and light pink.

The couple honeymooned in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and plans to make their home in Chicago.
