With new owners Ken and Renee Foster in charge, the Lebanon Racquetball and Fitness, LLC., is in store for some changes.

Ken Foster bought the building and took over its operations on March 1 from Eric and Erin Jacobsen.

"We haven't made a lot of big changes yet, but we're gearing up to do a few things," Foster said.

He said he is in the process of selecting new workout equipment for both cardio and weight training exercises.

Possible equipment additions will be another treadmill or elliptical machine, he said.

"The decision right now is which piece is going to best suit our needs and the needs of our customers," he said.

One improvement that's already taken place is the repairs made to the air conditioning, which was not working properly when Foster took over.

"It was in place, we just had to get it working," he said. "It's been 72 degrees inside all summer long and people have loved it."

Foster said he has about 110-115 members, which is more than when he started.

Rates are $30 per month for an individual and $50 per month for a family pass.

The facility features two racquetball courts and exercise machines.

It's open 24/7, accessible with a key-card, Foster said.

Foster said he is in the process of making the club more visually pleasing.

"In the next month or two, one of the things we're trying to do is to add some color and flair and brighten things up a little bit," he said.

Foster said the club will be working with the city to hold a Community Health and Wellness Fair at the club.

The fair is scheduled from 2-6 p.m. on Oct. 10.

"The fair is designed to promote a healthy lifestyle," he said. "It allows people to start talking about getting fit and taking care of health issues and their future."

Foster also hosts an open house once a month with the intention of getting people comfortable with the club.

A website is also in the works, Foster said.

Members should expect to see continuous changes from now on, he said.

"Our intent is to continue upgrading and making changes as funds are available, all based on our memberships wishes," he said.
