Monday, Dec. 29

1:51 a.m. A 21-year-old woman was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct in connection with a fight in the 0-99 block of E. Sherman St.

5:30 a.m. A vehicle missed a driveway at S. Main Rd. near Crowfoot Rd. and went into the ditch.

8:53 a.m. A car window was broken in the 500 block of Wheeler St. and a purse, wallet, iPod, backpack, jacket, camera and picture frames were taken. The thief also damaged the vehicle while trying to remove speakers.Damage/loss: $1,350.

10:20 a.m. Two vehicle tires slashed in the 400 block of S. 9th St. Loss: $100.

3:25 p.m. MP3 player taken from a purse at Sherman Street Bar & Grill. Loss: $80.

8:23 p.m. A 27-year-old man was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in a case of possession of methamphetamine.

Tuesday, Dec. 30

10:09 a.m. A chair was taken from outside a business in the 0-99 block of W. Grant St. Loss: $35.

12:08 p.m. A car amplifier was taken from a garage in the 100 block of Kees St. Loss: $75.

5:02 p.m. A window was broken and a garage trashed in the 100 block of S. Main St.

6:05 p.m. Two vehicles received minor damage in an accident at Wheeler and S. Williams sts.

8:35 p.m. The wheels and tires were taken from a vehicle in the 600 block of “E” St. Loss: 200.

Wednesday, Dec. 31

3:58 p.m. A 15-year-old male was charged with third-degree theft in connection with alleged shoplifting at Bi-Mart. Amount: $2.99.

6:10 p.m. A 44-year-old male was charged with a restraining order violation and possession of both methamphetamine and marijuana.

9:15 p.m. A 42-year-old man was taken into custody on a warrant on a tip from an off-duty police officer. The man owes jail time.

11:37 p.m. Chairs were reported taken from Duffy’s Irish Pub. Loss: $80.

Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009

12:03 a.m. A 65-year-old woman was charged with DUII.

12:27 a.m. Fireworks were reported in the area of S. 12th and Elizabeth sts.

1:54 a.m. A 42-year-old man was taken into custody for a DUII and a statewide felony warrant for first-degree failure to appear.

3:32 a.m. A 34-year-old woman was charged with criminal mischief in connection with a broken house window in the 200 block of Jennings St.

7:33 a.m. A vehicle was broken into during the night in the 1000 block of S. Grove St. Nothing was taken.

7:57 a.m. A window at Wing Ming Restaurant was broken but the building was not entered. Damage: $500.

8:21 a.m. A birdbath was taken from a yard in the 1100 block of S. Grove St. and thrown through the windshield of a neighbor’s pickup. Birdbath loss: $100. Windshield damage: $500.

8:56 a.m. A small tree that fell on W. Airport Rd. near Airway Rd. was reported as a minor hazard. It was removed.

1:39 p.m. A large plate window at the former Hoskings Supply building was broken out.

4:56 p.m. A 24-year-old man was taken into custody on multiple warrants for failure to comply in a driving while suspended case and failure to appear in cases of fourth-degree assault, DUII and reckless driving.

8:17 p.m. A cable line was reported fallen across a fence and into the roadway in the 200 block of E. Elmore St. The homeowner secured it for the night.

9:36 p.m. A report of gunshots in the 600 block of S. Second St. turned out to be legal fireworks.

9:54 p.m. A 34-year-old woman was charged with third-degree theft for allegedly stealing a purse at Shari’s. She also was trespassed from the business.

Friday, Jan. 2

2:28 a.m. The gate of a business in the 1900 block of Airway Rd. was blown off its track.

2:30 a.m. A business alarm was activated due to wind in the 3000 block of S. Santiam Hwy.

2:39 a.m. A flip style cell phone was taken from the 0-99 block of E. Sherman St.

2:43 a.m. An officer moved tree limbs from the roadway in the 2500 block of S. Santiam Hwy.

2:48 a.m. A business alarm was activated in the 800 block of Park St. when a garbage can was blown into the door.

2:56 a.m. A 50-60-foot tree was blown down across 8th St. near Walker Rd. and blocked 3/4 of the roadway. A city public works crew removed it.

3:29 a.m. A tree and a power line blew down in a yard in the 2800 block of Acorn St. The home on the property still had power. Pacific Power could give no estimated time of arrival.

4 a.m. A small tree fell down and blocked the sidewalk and bike lane of S. Main Rd. near Hobbs St.

4:22 a.m. The roadway was flooded at S. 10th and “D” sts.

5:24 a.m. A business security gate was blown over at S. 2nd and Vine sts.

11:10 a.m. A backpack was taken from the 0-99 block of Industrial Way.

2:23 p.m. A Lebanon resident told police someone opened an account in his name through Qwest on Aug. 19, 2008, and has incurred $1,006.93 in debt.

2:29 p.m. A two-vehicle non-injury accident partially blocked traffic in the 1900 block of S. Main St. One vehicle had minor damage.

2:48 p.m. A 28-year-old man was arrested on two warrants for contempt and on a charge of providing false information to police after he was reported to sit in a vehicle in the 1400 block of S. 10th St. and knock on a homeowner’s door.

6:23 p.m. The customer of a business in the 1700 block of S. Main St. reported that her new car was hit by a pickup. The pickup’s ball hitch was stuck in her car. Police located the pickup driver and the two drivers exchanged information.

8:01 p.m. A resident in the 200 block of Hobbs St. reported a band was playing louder than usual. Police measured the sound and found it to be within the limit but advised the band to keep the noise down. The complainant said the band seems to play louder when police aren’t in the area.

8:03 p.m. A 35-year-old man who was reported to be urinating behind a bar in the 600 block of S. Main St. and attempting to fight with other patrons was trespassed from the bar and advised to stay out of another bar for the evening, too.

10:49 p.m. Police checked out the area of Milton and Downing sts. because of a report of a loud boom, followed by a power outage in a three-block area.

Saturday, Jan. 3

12:39 a.m. A pony was reported running around near the 200 block of Larkspur St. A neighbor helped police corral the horse and will keep it until the owner gets it.

2:24 a.m. A 33-year-old man was charged with DUII.

11:38 a.m. A 38-year-old woman was taken into custody on a contempt of court warrant.

1:33 p.m. A 57-year-old man was arrested on a warrant for failure to comply in a DUII case and with a driving while suspended misdemeanor.

1:52 p.m. The window of a vehicle was broken in the 700 block of S. Main St.

2:10 p.m. Damage was found on the roof of a building in the 1800 block of S. Main St., possibly as part of an attempt to enter the building or take the compressor.

3:35 p.m. A 15-year-old girl was reported as a runaway.

Sunday, Jan. 4

2:30 a.m. A 27-year-old man was arrested for DUII.

3 a.m. A caller reported loud music at 142 E. Elmore St. Upon arrival the officer heard loud music but no one answered the door. Two officers entered the apartment and talked to two 18-year-olds, two 23-year-old males, a 21-year-old female and a 23-year-old female. One 18-year-old male was cited for minor in possession by consumption.

5:55 p.m. A 52-year-old man was arrested on a warrant for failure to comply in a case of giving false information to police.
